Account Deletion Request
Need to delete your GallDiet: Post-Op account? Here is how, what gets deleted, and what, if anything, is kept.
How to delete your account
Account deletion is available from inside the app:
- Open the GallDiet: Post-Op app
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account
- Read the confirmation and confirm
Deletion is reachable within two taps of Settings. If you cannot reach these steps (for example, you are no longer signed in), contact us at support@galldiet.com and we will complete the deletion for you.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are purged:
- Your profile (including your surgery date and preferences)
- Your meal scans and the stored analysis artifacts they were created from
- Your meal estimates and their history
- Your urgency episodes
- Your symptom logs and no-symptom days
- Your reintroduction attempts and tolerance classifications
- Your derived patterns
Deletion covers every record associated with your account.
What is kept, and why
A small amount of non-identifying information is retained for legal and operational reasons:
| Item | Retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Payment records | 7 years | Tax and legal compliance |
| Encrypted database backups | 30 days | Disaster recovery |
| Server logs | 30 days | Security and debugging |
| Crash reports | 90 days | Bug resolution |
Payment records are retained in anonymized form where required. None of these retained items identify you or contain your health data.
Before you delete
If you would like a copy of your own records before the account is removed, go to Settings → Privacy → Export My Data first.
